SchaumburgStormer
The NAM was laughably bad yesterday when looking at the surface map today.
Baum
as of now have not heard one impressive total out of this. We've learned to appreciate water out of a turnip. And radar doesn't really depict a big influx for a dramatic uptick.
hawkeye_wx
With the evening band of snow failing to materialize, after being forecasted by every model, my storm total is likely to be only 2.0". This was a pretty big stinker. The south models (I'm looking at you Canadian and Euro) were awful.

Baum
here is another example of bullshit NWS forecasting out of Milwaukee: TONIGHT SNOW. SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 2 TO 5 INCHES. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION 2 TO 8 INCHES. NEAR STEADY TEMPERATURE AROUND 18. NORTH WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH. CHANCE OF SNOW NEAR 100 PERCENT. this is embarrassing. I'm sorry, you just cannot pull this stuff. What happend to forecasting, and if you bust...own it?

Things are going about as expected at this point. 3
Mogget
I’m about 15 miles into WI, almost due south of Madison, and my inexpert estimate is that we are closing in on five inches. Pretty good snowfall rate right now, too. 3

Mogget
Madison looks to have picked up six inches and Stoughtin, a bit south of Madison, may have eight inches.
cyclone77
We've been exclusively freezing rain for over 2 hours now. The glazing has capped off the blowing snow potential DVN was concerned about earlier. Looks like our snow total will finish with 1.0", which brings us to 12.0" for the season. We'll see what the last half of Feb and March does, but it's looking like it's gonna be another sub 20" season if trends continue.

SchaumburgStormer
From quickly glancing at storm reports, looks to be a very sharp difference in accumulation between a roughly Rochelle to Evanston line north/south. 4+ inch reports north quickly dropping to sub-2”. Will be interesting to see the map when LOT compiles everything
michsnowfreak
Just got a little light freezing rain here. Temp only got up to 32 so never got warm. Looks like Toledo hit 40°
