michaelmantis Posted January 28, 2023 Share Posted January 28, 2023 Huge cotton balls fell for around 30 minutes and now just a nice decent snowfall but smaller flakes. I'm right on the edge of the WSW that was just issued and this one is looking like a 4 incher for me. I finally got into a band with a solid rate this morning, but it lasted about ten minutes. The south models (Canadian, Euro) were wrong for Iowa. Temps could be around 28-30 in part of the icing area. The warm layer aloft is not obnoxiously warm (no 10C or something like that) so raindrop temperatures won't be extremely warm.
