OceanStWx
Now I was mostly scrolling on my phone with beer, but it seemed like the HRRR extended ranges were onto the extent of snow. Maybe a hair too cold (snow band was displaced a little south of where it actually snowed the heaviest today), but overall was sniffing out this cold conveyor location at 12z yesterday. 1

mahk_webstah
Just absolute perfect dendrites. Softly falling out of the sky one and a half or 2 inches an hour. We are closing in 14 inches.

HIPPYVALLEY
Steady light snow here but I think we’re done for the most part with accumulations outside of a new coating. Probably a little over 6 inches between last night and today. Much needed lift to the winter spirits.
wxsniss
~0.75 mile visibility in Boston and in a first for the season for the city: roads are actually starting to whiten
OceanStWx
One thing I noticed on modeling while chasing the kids around this weekend was the trend towards a more robust poleward exit region later in the event (i.e. today). Initially forcing looked mostly equatorward entrance, a classic WAA thump scenario. But by now the dominant forcing was from the exit region of the next approaching jet streak. That is a class mechanism to get the banding to pivot and involve the cold conveyor. 1
