Went to Grundy earlier and it was coming down hard, visibility was awful. Nothing was sticking to the ground at that time though. On my way back home the mountain tops are completely covered, it's just now starting to stick to the vehicles down in the lower elevations.

Been pouring down again for the last hour. Over 2 inches now. Here, the sticking on the ground line is about 1300 feet. Or was when I went down to town about an hour ago. I'd wager some of those 5-7 inch totals some high res models were trying to spit out on the mountain tops here will verify. Above 2500 feet there was 3 inches at 4pm.

The 4:15-5pm period up here at 2900 feet SW of Gatlinburg was probably the heaviest snow I’ve ever seen. Just absolutely ripping. Made the trip worth it  no matter what happens the rest of the night

This video doesn’t do it justice cause of the low quality but man. White smoke for 45 minutes. Picked up a couple of inches quickly
