bowtie`
6-21 A similar sunset just two days later. Close to sunset. taken with the 24-70mm at 53mm... Post sunset color with a sliver of the Moon. Just to the left of the Moon is Venus but it probably just looks like a dust spot at this reduced resolution. bowtie`
So far behind. This is from 7-2. Started out at the overpass here I got this looking southeast and some of the low-topped convection in the area. Taken with the 24-70 at 70mm... Trouble was there was another batch exactly to the west and I could tell it was going to interrupt the sunset view. So I got back in my car and headed east then north on the back county roads trying to get around the stuff. Ended up catching this very short rainbow segment looking east out in the middle of nowhere. Taken with the 24-70mm at 38mm... Here is a vertical shot showing the low tops as well. Taken with the 24-70mm at 50mm...

bowtie`
8-28 was sneaky sly and also balls-to-the-wall all at the same time. The sly sneaky as the sundog creeping in underneath the cloud deck on the south side of the Sun. Taken with the 24-70mm at 55mm... The balls-to the wall was the orange post sunset. Definitely a "Houston, we are GO for orange" moment. Taken with the 24-70mm at 35mm... And the mixture was as all the colors were exiting the region. What a fantastic evening. Taken with the 24-70mm at 50mm... Goodnight my darlin', wherever you are...
