It’s awesome up here at deep creek. What a winter wonderland, my weenie soul needed this.

my 2 year old loves the snow, too… kept saying “my snowman!”

About 6” on the ground, maybe a little more. 26-27 F

Will share pics later

Awesome!   I'll be there next week, hoping there's still some snow around to maybe snowshoe in!   Anxiously awaiting my next game cam upload to see how much is on the ground...

Our red maple tree is pushing buds out already. Wonder if this is going to be one of those summers where it's 95+ for weeks on end.

Bring it on. Last summer was boring with upper 80s, a marine layer east of the blue ridge, and severe tstorms dying out right on our doorsteps.

That was a VERY noticeable and unique thing about last summer that stood out to me. The number of times there was CIN east of the Blue Ridge w/ the strongest instability along and west of there was odd. Fingers crossed for more NW-flow ring-of-fire MCSs this year... preferably w/o too much of that CIN.

Every single damn Friday afternoon/evening, with the screaming NW winds . . . every one! What is it with this pattern?

*Glances at NWS Blacksburg extended forecast...*

.LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
As of 315 AM EST Monday...

As strong cold front will bring dry conditions for the end of
the week...

A strong cold front will arrive Friday morning, bringing a
surge of dry, chilly Canadian air to the Mid-Atlantic region.
Will be concerned with breezy northwest winds, potentially
gusting to 45 mph along the ridgetops by early that afternoon.
