MN Transplant
DCA looks like it is locked into the 3rd warmest January on record. BWI will likely be top-5. IAD will be battling with 2006 for the top spot over the next few days.

87storms
Primo biking weather today (Little Bennett) made me care less about whether it snows. Trail was a little muddier than I expected, but the sun angle is still low, so that kind of makes sense.

Last summer was boring with upper 80s, a marine layer east of the blue ridge, and severe tstorms dying out right on our doorsteps.

That was a VERY noticeable and unique thing about last summer that stood out to me. The number of times there was CIN east of the Blue Ridge w/ the strongest instability along and west of there was odd. Fingers crossed for more NW-flow ring-of-fire MCSs this year... preferably w/o too much of that CIN.
snowfan
Temps in Canaan yesterday were nice for being outside….mid upper 30s w 6” or so on the ground in the less sun exposed areas. Blackwater sled run was solid and crazy fast last night after temps went below freezing.
