I'm seeing a big increase in lightning over the past 10 minutes. I'm thinking I'm going to let it go NE and head back towards the 95 corridor for the big wall that's forming. This was a ton of fun and I'm proud of myself. I nailed this chase. If it was producing I would of been right on it's tail.

That line is really starting to congeal together now as it moves east

thanks—i can only take credit for the flower boxes. the golf course takes care of the rest.

and it’s now pouring, windy, and thundering here. i really don’t want severe.

Almost pristine airmass downstream off the Blue Ridge. Weak capping and 45-50kt of eff. shear. 30-33K delta theta-e between mixed layer and mid-levels. My typical cutoff for severe is 25K, but can be lower with this kind of shear.

The faster that cold pool develops and deepens, stronger it will get.
