In theory, the reduction in heating might limit the boundary layer mixing, and I wonder if losing a couple of degrees with low-level temps might be a good tradeoff to potentially avoid a collapse of the low-level dew points. With the radar down I personally can’t make heads or tails of it. when it gets closer to the metro I’ll start paying attention… my favorite part of SVR days is looking for rotation.
