I hear you. It’s all good until it’s right in your backyard. It was bad by me but doesn’t sound like anything near what you experienced. Happy you and your family are ok.

I'm fine with it hitting my neighborhood. I know the risks of wishing for big storms, hence why I carry extra insurance. My orange cat went nuts right before the storm hit and army crawled into the basement. She never does that, I figured something bad was coming.

Not surprised to see the tornado warning. Def was broad rotation on radar as it hit here

My in-laws in bel air said they were outside watching the storm rotate as it passed. Well sub-severe in Columbia. Hope the damage isn’t too significant @Eskimo Joe

Rotation went just to my south when it was in Balt Co, was surprised it didn’t have a warning on it sooner to be honest

The underrated days produce. Glad everyone is ok.

This is so true. I was thinking this exact thought at Oriole Park last night during the 2.5 hour rain delay while watching my Apple Watch explode with warnings and lightning strike notifications. I picked that game instead of tonight to avoid a rain delay. I should have known better.

EJ, wicked wicked storm around our parts. Lots of limbs down and power is out. The initial hit was something else

Always interesting to see how some animals react to impending severe weather. Our yellow Lab is not the least bit scared of loud noises, booms, fireworks, etc. But if there's an incoming bad storm, she gets generally more skittish, will stare out the front window more often, and stay continually by my side.

But that storm y'all had last night must have been quite epic. I typically glance at Windy.com for quick checks on radar, and I noticed last evening that storm that hit you guys last night was the angriest-looking, dark red/magenta blob I've seen on that radar perhaps ever...and the animated lightning strokes were literally non-stop in and around the storm, the entire time it marched past you, into DE and to the coast. I nearly did a screencap because it was THAT intense on radar.

Looks like this morning’s mesos want to create another DC split today

We experienced that split yesterday here. Apocalyptic cloud formations and lots of lightning to our north and south, but sunset kept trying to break out to our west. And very little rain.

Same. Saw apocalyptic clouds directly overhead, but some sun breaking through from the west. Knew right then it wasn’t happening. But it was close. Missed by a couple miles

But they were hitting us flush with nothing in Maryland yesterday.

We just can’t know.

Yeah, we can’t know for sure. But sticking with persistence works until it doesn’t. And for now, it’s still working, at least for mby.

94/75, heat advisory criteria verified with a HI of 106.

EDIT: Now 96/76, HI 110
