devil's advocate time:  while we're lamenting the clouds, it has still gotten quite warm (still mid to upper 80s).   In theory, the reduction in heating might limit the boundary layer mixing, and I wonder if losing a couple of degrees with low-level temps might be a good tradeoff to potentially avoid a collapse of the low-level dew points.     Pure speculation, but maybe the clouds aren't completely our enemy here.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  North central Allegany County in western Maryland...

* Until 315 PM EDT.

* At 229 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cumberland,
  moving northeast at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible.
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Cumberland, La Vale, Ridgeley, Ellerslie, Corriganville,
  Flintstone, Wolfe Mill and Pleasant Valley.

Just a guess, but I’ll bet they’ll do what they can to get tonight’s game in because tomorrow evening looks troublesome too. Especially with an NL team in town.

Im a huge Jordan Westburg fan. Was hoping to take my 7 year old to his debut. Guess I’ll keep an eye on the radar!
