Even though I am south of the palm guy, this is the best I could do from this afternoon. But this is cheating seeing how I just put a round of 12-12-12 on the lawn two weeks ago. Was only really feeding the roots with the phosphorus and potash but the few warm days even put the nitrogen to use and greened up the grass a bit.

Set a record at MQT:

"With temperatures failing to fall below 31 degrees yesterday, the record for warmest January 16th low temperature at NWS Marquette has been tied, with the previous record being set in 1980."

Light freezing rain most of the day and night has things pretty iced up out there... has since changed over to a misty snow.  Could see a foot through the week.

0.7” of snow yesterday. It’s been a very wet January and winter as a whole.

And most of that water has nowhere to go since the catch basins in the streets are buried under mountains of snow from the plows. Gonna be real interesting if things freeze up quick the next couple of days.

Yikes, MKE is now +11.7 for the month.  Our avg high for the month has now pushed above 40.  That 49/40 yesterday is crazy.

And only one below freezing high all month.  Two days of T snow cover!  This is going to be hard to come back from this winter -- sun angle is only increasing rapidly from here.  How are you going to cool/freeze the ground enough at this point?  Unfrozen, bare ground will soak up solar energy much easier as the days continue to get longer.
