CheeselandSkies
Based on yesterday's Day 2 outlooks, wasn't expecting any part of WI to be in a slight risk today, lol.
Chinook
There is a tornado watch for northern Missouri/ southern Iowa. This is a pretty big surprise based off yesterday's 1730z outlook which only had a small area of slight risk in Missouri. Tomorrow: (5/7) the latest update says enhanced risk for Iowa.
hawkeye_wx
Models are increasingly hyping up a big MCS rolling eastward across Iowa and northern Illinois Sunday night. DVN is on board.
Chinook
Here is the HRRR rainfall up to 11z. An MCS will hit a lot of places with heavier rain well after 11:00PM
Natester
The 12z, 18z and 00z runs of the HRRR have consistently shown a potent wake low forming in SW Iowa.
Chinook
The convection-allowing models have several solutions of supercells and/or clusters of cells forming in Iowa, eastern Nebraska, and western Illinois tomorrow. The conditions near the warm front will promote higher wind shear, lift, and chance of tornadoes. Severe thunderstorms may get going in southern Illinois also. It looks like a higher wind area at 700mb will be a main factor in increased storm relative helicity.
hawkeye_wx
Golfball size hail reports are coming in from the storm approaching southeast Iowa. I'm thinking the one west of me will sag south and the large hail will miss me. I hope so.
Malacka11
This has got to be one of the funnier warning areas I've seen so far. Unfortunately I am about to drive directly through it from east to west.

Stebo
I was pretty busy here at the office, we had quarter sized hail here at the airport for about 3 minutes. Pretty solid event that wasn't too expected. It was if you watched mesoscale models but, we didn't get much of a risk area here.

Jonger
It smells like someone went through the area with a chainsaw. Grass, cedar, tree smell. The forest lost about 1/3rd of it's leaves, gonna be a weird summer. I have a TON to cleanup, will probably rent a stronger push behind leaf blower.
