I think Jan set a record for warmest monthly min in Central Park. I believe the record was 25.  We definitely didn't get that cold. 28 was the lowest?

Yes, 28 was the coldest. That set a new monthly minimum record.

Looks like a potential chance at D10, which corresponds with a trough swinging through the east that the ensembles are now showing.

I'm shocked that we've always gotten to at least 25 in January before this one.  I would have thought Jan 1932 or Jan 1950 would have stayed in the upper 20s or even lower 30s.
