Flipped to snow here in North Salem NH about 15 minutes ago with huge fat flakes coming down. Temp down to 34F and starting to accumulate on colder surfaces. We're late to the party down here (at least amongst the NH crew) but hoping to make up for lost time as temps continue to tick downward and we take advantage of a little extra lift in the vicinity of the coastal front.

glad to see some NNE folks verified those amounts forecast, major bust here, what 1" of slush we had is now gone, was expecting 6-8, not surprised that sandisfield, Norfolk, North Canaan etc, actually got around 6" last check, amazing, and it pretty much snowed all day, just not good rates and a bit less elevation, heard Stratton got smashed! good for the ski areas, they need it there, hopefully next week doesn't trend similar.good thing we still had a few inches otg so still pretty white around here otherwise would really blow

been cat paws most of the afternoon here with no accumulation. was up in Concord for a docs appt earlier and same thing. hoping for something tonight, but shoveled the slush off the driveway just in case it freezes up. temp has been pretty steady most of the day

Nantucket buoy shifted from all day easterly winds to S/SW for the past few hour and holding steady at SW with the pressure still dropping just a bit, so the surface low is still getting its act together. Meanwhile, Mount Washington has finally rotated from 110 easterly to 80 degrees easterly. Long story short, the next phase of this system for the NNE region is about to get underway.

Wife and I just went to Sushi Yoshi here in town.  Coming out and walking the Rec Path home in a snowstorm was awesome.

This is what winter is all about.  Good food, good drink, a quiet walk through the field and woods with evergreens and hardwoods alike bending under the high QPF snow.

We don't get a lot of heavy wet caking snows here but this one is about as picturesque as it gets even if it's only 7" or so far.
