I really want to close my curtains. It's depressing looking outside seeing RAIN falling. Actually the stupid weather thing at the bottom of my computer says HEAVY SLEET...torture. It's a stupid, downpour of cold rain. I'd rather just lay down in a parking lot next to a parking garage and have drunk people piss on me.

From this mornings GYX AFD:

With such fine margins...there is big bust potential in either
direction along that coastal frontal zone. Some Bufkit forecast
are quite robust in the PWM area for snowfall...but model snow
depth fields...which often can more accurately depict snowfall
amounts in the marginal/mixed scenarios show very little locally
including into the foothills.

GYX backing down a tad

Ultimately I nudged the forecast slightly in the warmer
direction...with only small changes to snowfall as a result. No
changes to the headlines.

Flipped from rain to snow around 6am here in Gardner, roads are horrible.  They made the call to cancel school as kids were showing up.  The principals were outside telling parents as they dropped their kids off.  They're scrambling to get the kids that were already there home.
