CT Valley Snowman
Wasn't up in the night to measure but settled depth this morning was 4.8, nice little event.
40/70 Benchmark
My forecast was dead on for everywhere except the max zone, which I also had a hair too far to the north....went with 3-6" and should have went 5-9". My rationale was that not all of the sounding data was aggressive as the NAM, but that obviously worked out. 40/70 Benchmark
I did view this excellent cross hair from the NAM for BDL, but the GFS wasn't as impressive. ...so I compromised a bit by going just a bit heavier than some of the more meager globals. What i should have been more mindful of was the fact that BDL was not event in the max zone, which would have caused me to go more aggressive in the max area. Brain cramp. The 4 Seasons
Snowfall totals for the Litchfield County Crusher. CT, Tri-state, and CT town by town. Pretty happy with the forecast overall. Gradient and ranges were good, went a little low for the northern tier of the 4 northern counties, shoreline and heart of the state was good. Thank you everyone for tagging me and sending your totals. I tried to include them all, but it can be hard when i get multiples for the same town, issue with them fitting. Snow event here tonight, a pretty significant blizzard in the northern Plains, severe weather Tuesday evening (though don't think it will be an outbreak), and then a potentially big storm here end of the week. Finally the boredom is over. Stop being so dam positive
