That run really beefed up the qpf, which is good to see. Makes sense given the sounding Will posted earlier.

Hopefully that trend continues through game time though. We went with a general 1-3 for central and eastern CT and 2-5 for western spots. Caveats—more away from the coast, SW and central CT may see more depending on banding.

Expecting some tweaks tomorrow. I think there’s upside to this one.

Might have to watch your hood for some decent OES bands and those could enhance the synoptic stuff. 3km clobbered your area…now I don’t think you’ll get warning snows like it showed but there’s some potential upside in a few lucky spots.

Yeah flakes flying and whitening the ground is a win this time of year. Get a good holiday mood going on Sunday while people are watching football or doing whatever.

I’m going to disagree. This is December and flakes in the air is not a win. There should be snow OTG with more coming. That is winter and December . This is not the Will I used to know

It's December 10th, not late December. you take what you can get before the holidays

Violently disagree . Not in interior areas. Maybe in Taunton . How many snowstorms have we had on Dec 5 or 7th in past 100 years? A lot of the big ones fall in early December. Climo says snowy in December away from ocean. Unless this Global warming nonsense has gone wild.. it is supposed to snow in Dec . I mean having first flurries in air on Dec even in coastal SNE is way late abs not normal and should never be considered a W

well, I would qualify it and say that given the upcoming pattern over the next two weeks, I'd be shocked if the interior doesn't do relatively well. For tomorrow though, it's a win if the ground is whitened in eastern areas. maybe you score an inch or two

No it’s early even for you. You continue to struggle to understand climo.

No it is not. I would bet you if you went back let’s say 50 or 100 years… at least half if not more Dec 1-15 periods dropped accumulating snow over interior SNE. Flakes in the air is not a win . Not close

Climatology tells us that the further north you go, the better chance you have of a White Christmas. Places like Boston and Hartford have seen them about 20-25% of the time. However, if you travel further south into the Mid-Atlantic, then a White Christmas only occurs around 10% of the time.Dec 8, 2021

That was what I was getting at . Accumulating snows are more normal than not in Dec . Which is why I was shocked Will said he was happy with flurries in air
