How many snowstorms have we had on Dec 5 or 7th in past 100 years? A lot of the big ones fall in early December. Climo says snowy in December away from ocean.

That wasn’t what we pointed out. Dec 1-15 avg measurable snow in SNE and is more likely than flurries or not measurable

Oh ok, sorry you seemed to say early December is a “snowy” time of year… when 8 of the last 22 years had had less than 1” at 1,000ft in ORH.

I thought by “snowy” you weren’t just talking measurable but real snows… measurable over 0.1” is more likely than 0.0”. Agreed.

That was what I was getting at . Accumulating snows are more normal than not in Dec . Which is why I was shocked Will said he was happy with flurries in air

Man you really blew up my quote out of context. I didn’t say just flurries, I’m pretty sure I said ground whitened (aka, measurable) with flakes in the air. For 12/11? Yeah I’ll take that. It wasn’t supposed to imply that was all I would take in this particular pattern. I know there will be more chances.

Looks like 1-3” in general from about ORH-PVD west. 2-4” maybe 5? In a narrow band somewhere around western MA into Central CT? Another area were inv trough is west and NW of NYC. That isn’t an inv trough to the northeast. Just a good band of snow. We’ll see if that shifts NE or Sw.

looks like someone near me may get 2”+ of OE.
