Geez.  Hope you guys take it easy get better.  I know there are all kinds of respiratory things going around.  Probably universal to suggest plenty of fluids although I expect some adult types of "fluids" might be on tap for the Iggles tomorrow.

I did make it up to 57 as a high yesterday and this morning, in the midst of literal pea-soup fog with visibility < 1/10th of a mile (and I saw a Dense Fog Advisory was lofted), I have had a low of 48 so far.

Currently foggy and 50 with dp 50.

Happy New Year's Eve to all! A little foggy to start the final day of 2022. Rain chances will be increasing during today and into the evening. Sun returns for New Years Day and Monday before showers return for mid week. Wednesday looks to be the warmest day of the week with temps more than 20 degrees above normal in the low 60's. Wednesday's record high looks a bit out of reach for Chester County (67 degrees from 1950) but spots toward Philly may approach records highs. We should see a return to more typical January temperatures by the end of the week.
The record high for today is 64 degrees set in 1965. The record low is 5 below zero from 1917. Daily rain record is the 1.68" that fell in 1906. Daily snow mark is the 5.0" that fell today in 1970.

Dense Fog Advisory extended to noon (and that's good because the fog seems to have gotten even denser here in NW Philly) -

Best to Birds and Ralph! I had a respiratory thing a few weeks ago, no fever fortunately. Best part was pulling a muscle in my ribcage from coughing. After that, every sneeze, cough and nose blow was an adventure in pain.

Back to weather...12z GFS almost blues on us 1/6. Yeah, won't happen but beats tracking Pac puke.

45F/Some fog/drizzle

Go to urgent care if you can they test for everything.

These things are rampant right now:

RSV

Strep Throat

various variants of Covid 19

Flu

You most likely have one or possibly two of these things.  I have been seeing it for weeks as a teacher and can only imagine it is worse now during and after the holidays.

Hope you feel better in the coming days and hopefully an Eagles win tomorrow can boost your spirits!

This came out of nowhere, as in all recent discussions I have seen have said there was no SSW event evident for the next three weeks. This would bring hard core winter the second half of January.

Here's a discussion to go along with that - https://www.severe-weather.eu/global-weather/winter-season-2022-2023-polar-vortex-power-up-stratospheric-warming-wave-forecast-united-states-europe-fa/

Not really a shock. All global ens has the SSWE showing up for a few days. SPV taking a pummeling.

Wonder why this has been missed on this side of the pond

I found that site last year discussing what would be an incoming SWE and it's been pretty fascinating checking in with them through the year.  Each one of the blog entries does get repetitive with respect to using the same boilerplate intro describing the PV, etc., before launching into their analysis.
