Just wanted to hop in here and say wow. What an odd early hit up here in state college. As some of you may remember my wife and I just moved from the Hershey/Hummelstown area last winter (had a home on the Swatara a couple nautical miles north of MDT).

Now live out on the western side of State College. The climo difference on this side of the ridges is incredible in p-type. We had about 3-4 inches of snow with much of that as sleet burden and my dad who lives in York and our friends down the street from where we lived before had mostly a rain event.

Had some nice mood snow yesterday to top things off.

I saw a shot of Beaver Stadium and it had quite a bit of snow on the field.

Somewhat discouraging...end of November was going to be big.

December was going to be better, see a pattern :)

I would be up for a couple cutters even. But that mixed slop is hard to clean up.

Bottom line we will take what Mother Nature wants to give us.

Thanks Mag for the post.

Thanks to everyone posting maps.

This evening is our Christmas for the kids and grandkids.

busy day...anyone good at wrapping gifts.

On the negative side, I’m sure we will miss out on coastal action now. The real thumps…

Still many model runs to go through over the next 4-5 days.  Have faith as I am hoping it comes back more towards the original solution, not identical but similar.  These models have been hot and cold- some things on them seem off.

Good, Voyager just became an honorary resident of Pillow. I don't live in Pillow and I'm too far gone for counseling.

Skooks get free services because they have to deal with being called that.  And I knew you did not live in Pillow, but you are still associated with it.  LOL

Great post and yes people were on here last week or before saying how this pattern would be setup for winter weather. Totally understand the frustrations out there. We just have to take what Mother Nature gives us.

Considering I used to roll through there 4-6 times per day, 4 days per week, I might have spent more time in "downtown" Pillow than you did.
