Newman
18z HRRR. Don't take the 10:1 snow map literally, instead see it as where the line for where predominately frozen precip will fall vs not. The HRRR is MUCH more generous and cooler aloft compared to the NAM. The NAM drives a warm nose aloft into the region while the HRRR is very stubborn to keep it tamed

Anduril
Just now, Ruin said: Ty sometimes it's off as much as 5 degreas Yea to be fair I've noticed MDT often has some very different temperature measurements than the surrounding area. Their snow measurements also get pretty wonky too. This is the NWS standards for temperature measurement sites Quote Temperature sensor siting: The sensor should be mounted 5 feet +/- 1 foot above the ground. The ground over which the shelter [radiation] is located should be typical of the surrounding area. A level, open clearing is desirable so the thermometers are freely ventilated by air flow. Do not install the sensor on a steep slope or in a sheltered hollow unless it is typical of the area or unless data from that type of site are desired. When possible, the shelter should be no closer than four times the height of any obstruction (tree, fence, building, etc.). The sensor should be at least 100 feet from any paved or concrete surface. https://www.weather.gov/coop/sitingpolicy2
Greensnow
26 up here currently. I do well in this type of set-up due to elevation. 1500' means a ton when marginal. Thinking 3-5 and then ice.

Bubbler86
Nam, Rgem both held similar with their 12Z calls. Rgem changed the orientation of the snow line a bit....moved it south a little bit in true central PA but moved it north away from main LSV as to the Eastern side. GFS has blotches of sig snow well into MD again.

Bubbler86
Cumberland and Adams take it on the head with the GFS Kuch (and a small piece of N Central MD). This is a true snow map, no sleet in theory.
Ruin
Something to mention driving towards York back to Harrisburg skies went from mostly cloudy to clear as sun is setting almost clear skies. Odd since thought we would be socked in with clouds skies clear for about 10 miles maybe that will drop us down lower then 29 forecast low
