GramaxRefugee
Visibility in Annapolis has improved to 1/3 mile, in fog, mist, rain. I'm placing my obs in the obs thread instead of the icy event thread because I don't think we've had one drop of ice here today. Miserable, cold, rain.

87storms
I can't reiterate enough how much I prefer this pattern over last year's. Post-storm sunshine (at least partial) actually occurs unlike last Winter. Helps keep the days movin'. If I'm not gonna live in Colorado, I at least want a taste of it lol.

nj2va
We are having an Italian themed holiday party today and just baked like 200 cookies. Wish we were out at Deep Creek to enjoy the snow! Obligatory deck pic for my fellow weenies. Steady light snow, 25 degrees. Fluffy dendrites mixed in with the smaller flakes. Snow is sparkling on the deck. Enjoy the party tonight!

We were there the first week of November and missed the snow by about a week. I'm thinking I may not get my snow fix staying home this winter lol.
pazzo83
It just seems like it's difficult for the urban areas from NYC southward (maybe even BOS these days) to get that cold absent a real fresh shot of arctic air (that is usually fleeting). It wasn't exactly balmy today (NYC high of 44, DCA 50), but NYC is around 36 now at 1am, and DCA is at 41. Here in Tenleytown we've basically been stuck around 38-39 for the past several hours. Most nights, we stay above freezing.
