Not sure the following statement will really resonate given the mood and the people of this particular Internet depot… But Saturday still looks like it’s gonna be really nice - may be one of the last days to get out for an outdoor run or hike or bike ride for quite some time afterwards. Unless one is hardy and doesn’t mind doing that kind of stuff in less amicable weather

He really needs to move out west with some elevation....that's where the seasons match the solar insolation the most. We're significantly more lagged here.

I've seen it displayed various ways, but it all pretty much points to about two weeks delayed from astro winter, like we always say.

lolz.  Yeah. Looks like most of the daylight hours will be rain here most of the time.  I will be in Skaneateles, NY on Saturday where it doesn't look to be too rainy.  Was hoping for a more wintry feel over there, but it ain't happening.

The ridging in the west continues to look better in the 12-16 day range.....maybe towards the middle of the month ends up being much better around this region. The EPS was also showing a better Pacific towards the end of the run... fwiw

Let’s see what the EPS shows at 12z shortly?

Maybe he meant Friday . Saturday is wet from dawn to dusk with rain and wind and awfulness. The kind of winter day Scooter can’t handle with the kids inside , noses pressed against window looking out at the rain so he’s forced to find things for them to do.

Not sure why the hostility after 12z. I mean nothing really seems unchanged...but there certainly could be some airmass concerns as as been stated with the lack of cross-polar flow. As long as we don't have a crazy garbage preceding airmass we don't need a -20C 850mb airmass either.

This is true, but birthday party will help.

Rainy days make me become like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.
