I know there are comparisons to Nov 2014.

I was in the heart of that one in South Buffalo and Lackawanna.

But I’m thinking Nov 2022 is the winner. The sure volume of snow in 24 hours and the thunder and lightning is too impressive not to give it the winner.

.

I was in the bullseye for 2014 too and I would agree. The thundersnow last night on the streams I were watching was incredible. 2014 was also more narrow in coverage.

The part where 2014 may "win" though is the flooding was terrible as there were 65+F very windy days that were prime melting conditions that wiped it all away quickly. This time, the thaw should be more orderly.

Awesome videos. Nice to see people taking it in stride. Have to love winter around there. Period.

It’s November 19th. Sun angle approaching its low. Your snow pack will be around through May. Likely more records to fall, of this type. Guidance signaling another big snow storm day 6. God speed. Not for me; not even close.
