Insane! It started coming down Abt 40 minutes ago here, nearly whiteout lol. Transformers popping everywhere lighting the sky up. I'd say close to 6" here now maybe a smidge more man. The Ole Bucket Posted January 25, 2023 Share Posted January 25, 2023 Still snowing at a good clip here along the Mississippi. Roads seem to be okay thanks to repeated plowing and marginal temps. Hope a spotter stayed up in the middle of the night and took good measurements. All the compacting from this heavy slushy snow makes it impossible for me to be accurate. I'll admit, I fell hook, line and sinker for the NAM. Especially once the 3KM NAM got within 48 hours and it was pumping out 3-5" totals for S KS. There's close to 5" here in Bella Vista. So much was compacted. I kept cleaning off my truck and it would fill back in. I would say the foreign models did the best. But in all fairness, even the US models were realistic on the estimated snow depth all along. They all showed less than 6" depth, which is close. It's just the US models, namely the HRRR and NAM, had crazy 10:1 ratios, unlike the GEM, Euro, and Ukie. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
