I alway consider November 11 the period where we can start watching for snow….took 4 hours to travel from University of MD College Park to Greenbelt that day when surprise snowstorm hit….cars were abandoned all along my route home….thunder snow fell fast and furious.  One of the most memorable storms of my life so far…

Clearly obvious why the Veterans Day snowstorm was so anomalous for the DMV ...

... Parr's Ridge didn't jack.

One last post about that Veterans Day storm -- I was curious what it was like in the week or so leading up to it.  Look at these temps at DCA including 70s just a couple days before!  Wow

Looking to grill up some football food for the games and enjoy one last warm day before we get locked down by cold.  Got 1.09" total of rain so the new grass can go to sleep happy.

Temps down 11 degrees in last hour.  38 with drizzle.  Good shot at seeing some light upslope snow shower tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Yeah no shit, that was quick.  We went from 49F down to 36F just while we were eating dinner by the fire.  Really windy and light snow shower right now.  Have retreated to the hot tent with wood stove going.

Took family out for a walk to enjoy 65-70 degree temps before they fall like a rock tonight and tomorrow.

Yep, just started a fire in the wood burning stove while watching the Ole Miss/Bama game.  Winds gusting into the mid/upper 30s right now - hope the tent’s secure :twister:

I’m in Richmond while the hubby is in MLP. Was 77 here in RIC and mid 40s back home. Coming back tomorrow will be a shock!
