30F and breezy with some renegade flakes flying in the flood lights.  Wind chill in the teens?  What a change from 72F at 5am in the last week.

Picnic tables down in the mid-teens now.

Should not be noteworthy in mid-November but here we are, ha.

I know the weatherman are talking about any kind of issues for next Monday. All of them have the sun symbol. Not even mentioned that there's a possibility. That's not too good of a sign

Doesn't look like much of a relaxation other than a few days next two weeks. Looks like the NAO region tries to assert itself as the Pacific relaxes a bit. That EPO ridge shows signs of moving east again very late in the run.

You can see the AO/NAO trying to ramp up on the EPS. We lose the PNA ridging out west but at least we still have cross-polar flow via the -WPO. This pattern isn't super cold, but it's not warm either. Prob a lot of chances in that type of pattern if it holds into December.

This is interesting. The MJO forcing really weakens. 850 easterlies weaken too. The Atlantic part looks to perk up a bit. Not sure what that might mean.

Well the Nina forcing verbatim is very weak in that graphic. So it goes into Phase 8-1-2 type stuff which I believe would tend to be on the cooler side for us. But the signal is not strong. It's probably temporary...but I'd rather see that versus an Indian ocean signal that would torch us.

this is actually very similar to the first half of Dec 2010, believe it or not

the anomalies are of a much higher magnitude in Dec 2010, but the general waveform is almost a dead ringer
