CoastalWx
Looking ahead, I wonder if we see things shift late month to a bit more SE ridging into early December before another favorable shift maybe after 12/10? We may see tropical forcing get more established maritime continent again before trying to tickle east.

WxWatcher007
I've spent more time on this site this morning than probably the last month combined. I'm intrigued by next weekend. I need to get back to my yard.
jbenedet
Bit by the devil yesterday. Remember remember the 6th of November. First tick bite ever in mid fall. Didn’t even leave the suburbs of the Seacoast yesterday. So keep your guards up folks.

weathafella
MET giving BOS its first freeze 11/9.....not far from normal despite the ridiculously warm start to November. Sneaky cool shot mid week after tomorrow and before another warmup but nothing like this.

NorEastermass128
The week of Nov 14th is looking pretty chilly. I suspect snow chances for NNE and the interior will be increasing then too.

Almost some SWFE sliders in there too.

How is that possible BOS being over 50?

I'm getting there, ha. The last several cycles of the GFS have been pretty consistent in that trough moving in at day 7 (next Sunday) not being just a transient in/out. I want to keep seeing that not being modeled as a 72-hour shot followed by moderating again. For the ski areas the key will be sustaining that cold through that following week. The trough seems fairly high-confidence now... but if 850s can stay below 0C for that entire week that's a bit difference from just cold then lift out.
