Only 0.87” of rain materialized here. Far too little to even make a dent in the drought.

Peaked at 68 this morning before the cold front came through, down to 46 and crashing now. We won’t get more then a degree or two above freezing for the next week. Lakes will be frozen soon enough!

Time for some pond hockey

Record broken here at ORD. Peak of 76 so far.

This is Chicago's 2nd warmest temp on record for so late in the season (it was 78 on 11/14/1971).

Also, if the cold front can hold off until after midnight, the record high min for November 10th will be shattered...which is amazing with a 150+ year POR.  Current record is 52 set in 1949.  Today's min (so far) has been 62.

It should hold off long enough.  And like you said, it only has to hold through midnight central and not 1 am because of the recent end of daylight savings time.

Low at ORD will be 61.

Scratch that.  Crept down to 60 right before midnight.

It did seem a little mild

Going to be like Oct, very mild start, then the bottom falls out. Then probably back to milder weather late into early Dec. Then back to cold again in the midst of Dec. Wash, rinse, repeat for the rest of the year. That's the feel I'm getting looking forward, even into winter season.
