Never fails.  My birthday is almost always the warmest day of the month.  Every year.

Thankfully, the front is through out here.  Left steamy winchester at 78F and got out here at 69F and falling.  Feels great out right now.

Happy Birthday!

How are leaves looking out that way? Thinking of heading west tomorrow.

Thank you.  Color is coming on fast.  I'd bet peak is close at 3K.  Was hoping to get out to Deep Creek and Davis next weekend   You'll see some nice colors in the foothills out this way in the maples, sumac, and such.  Suspect the Blue Ridge is beginning to dazzle too.  This is going to be an earlier show than I can remember in a while.

It was green until I went past Cumberland on I-68 and gained elevation. Garrett County has some nice color right now. Probably peaking in a week or two?

The DNR is expecting peak in the county on October 15 but I suspect the highest points in the county (3,000+ feet) will be now through then.

37/34 at Deep Creek.

45/41 here in Moultonborough, NH.

34/32 now here.  We are going to freeze good.  Winds are decoupled and it otherwise feels like winter here.

Drove in this morning along new Germany road and savage river forest, if that area isn’t peak color it’s damn close.      Color is pretty nice this year.
