It reached 7k about 5 AM, dropped a bit below 5k a few hours later, then the 2nd charge of rain hit. I'd not be surprised to learn that Bethel/Andover topped 5". (Just like on the maps, though probably the extent of the 4-6" color will verify for a much smaller area than was portrayed.)
powderfreak
Models showing widespread 2”+ amounts possible seemed to do another good job at signaling region wide heavy rainer. Obviously there were less and more in different areas but tomorrow AM’s 48-hour totals should show a pretty large amount of 2”+ totals from NY all the way to the coast. Models have seemed to be doing pretty well the last 6 weeks signaling the heavy precip events.

WxWatcher007
The reason I’m here is wx. Sure, banter about sports, gardens, lawns, and local stuff happens and is usually benign, but I personally don’t think any political or “society has become X” stuff should be on the site. My two worthless cents.

I've dumped 0.87" and from that distance there's maybe 0.3" overflow from a full inner tube. Still some moderate-plus showers but the wind became just a breeze about 2:30. Since there is no data logger like my old console unit, any rain falling after 11:27am is not retrievable.
