It looks like October will be starting out with a much cooler pattern than recent years. Last October was the warmest on record and 2019 featured the all-time warmest monthly high. So we have a good chance at avoiding another 60°+ October. La Ninas like this year are typically pretty warm here in October. So maybe this means that we see another winter with competing influences that can push back against the typical Niña pattern at times.

Hopefully it’s right but I don’t count rain for the parched areas until it’s in the bucket. Conditions are favorable for a soaking if it comes together, but it could also be a bunch of light showery stuff if the coastal development doesn’t happen or happens too far offshore.

The last day of September is averaging  59degs.(54/65) or -5.

Month to date is  70.0[+0.6].        September will end at  69.7[+0.5].

The first 10 days of October are averaging  57degs.(50/64) or about -5.

Reached 68 here yesterday.

Today:  63-67, wind e., m. cloudy, 56 tomorrow AM.

The first 24 hours from 8pm yesterday have nothing:
