May be one of our larger differences.  14 degrees.   Already up to 44 here. Good example of why we rarely get dangerous freezing rain here.  Little radiational cooling, no mountains (for 30-40 miles) to our west to protect the cold air.   I was up at 2000' this Am and it was near 40 there as well.

Big differences indeed. I pay the price in the cooler seasons where I live S far as temperatures. But in the summer months I relish them temperatures here. I have our own microclimate here, one that I cherish in the summer months, but not in the colder months. A lot of the leaves are dropping like flies after the sun started shining on them here.
