I think I'll be mowing at least 2 more times. I just mowed yesterday.

I mowed yesterday as well...partly due to leaves but the grass was getting long. Grass is definitely not hibernating yet.  The lack of precip is going to slow down growth though.

I had a roughly 2-3 week period where I only needed to mow once, outside of that it's been pretty much twice a week the entire season.

Yep, me as well. My John Deere has head lights. I may need to mow in the dark just to get it done. I guess the positive of that, my neighbor won't see me blowing leaves back in her yard :lmao:

CLIMATE...
The growing season has now ended across all of Central PA.
Therefore, no additional frost or freeze products will be issued
until the next growing season begins in the Spring of 2023.

LOL, sounds like someone is getting lazy to me.     The USDA says you may grow on for both potted and non potted plants.  28 or grow.

Elliott from MU adding his thoughts just moments ago:

Residents in many rural areas even experienced the season's first freeze early this morning. Given that most of our agriculture resides in these outlying areas, the growing season has, for all intents and purposes, ended in the Lower Susquehanna Valley.

It must be some kind of rite of ritual as nothing has stopped growing here and we got to 32.  I guess intents and purposes are what counts.  LOL.  32 is not cold enough to kill veggies.   My blankets are at the ready for the next freeze.   I am not technically in the LSV though, but the NWS AFD applied to me.
