New England heavy rain event Sept 5/6 2022. Does this end the summer drought?

I think the forecast of 1-2" with isolated jackpots of more than that is going to be a solid forecast for most areas outside of the cape.  Patience...

That was some ridiculously heavy rain.  1.5”+ in under an hour but it’s been stuck E/NE of here.  About to head back to VT.  Hope CT gets widespread drenching tonight.
