Or is this a case where we get an inch and you claim it is disappointing and a waste of time. Because my yard could sure use a good long soaking inch of rain. It's going to rain, but I'm having a hard time seeing us getting more than an inch.

MN Transplant
Things are looking good for the northern parts, but somewhat more tenuous DC and south for rain.
BlizzardNole
This sounds super-tasty for the northern MD folks. I hope you and your extra crispy yards get it! "...widespread showers and heavy rainfall especially north of I-70. 1-1.5 inches of rain are expected generally north of US-50 with the potential for as much as 3 inches north of I-70..." IronTy
Thunderstorm about to hit us on meadow mtn. Really breezy now and temp down to about 70F. Weekend turned out dry til now kinda bummed because that means the canvas tent gets soaked and I'm going to have to roll it up wet tomorrow morning. Could be worse though. CAPE
The focus for heavy rain today is along the stalled boundary to our north. The western Atlantic ridge will flatten and the boundary will slowly sag south tonight and tomorrow, bringing the chances for rain further southward. For DC and points east/south, it appears the chances for significant rain are tied to a final piece of vorticity ejecting northeastward tomorrow that looks to induce a bit of a surface low. I like the depiction on the 0z Euro for my yard.
CAPE
WPC has a slight risk of excessive rain for the NW burbs today and expands it eastward for tomorrow.

Would help a lot of watersheds.
