Wind orientation is perfect, Lakes aren’t frozen over, etc. Gonna be a “fun” drive home to and from Waynesville this afternoon/tonight!
wncsnow
Just need the temperatures to drop in Asheville. It's still almost 40 so I don't think there will be any accumulation until tonight here which is probably going to be the best rates anyways
Tyler Penland
Finally down to 32 even with a solid dusting in the last 15 minutes. Absolutely dumped there for a bit.

SnowDawg
Enjoy it fellas! I'm hoping to see some flurries/showers break containment and get down my way this evening/tonight when the forcing is at its best.

Buckethead
You can see how large the flakes are getting here. The direction you see the roof in is looking NNW towards my house and the state line.https://wolflaurelweather.com/Wolf+Laurel+Club+Cam/StreamSent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
WxKnurd
Back to pixie dust, thought we were gonna switch to bigger flakes but no dice. 1.25”, headed out for the remainder of the day so next measurement won’t be until late tonight.
BhamParker
We have hit a break in the action here up on Ski Mountain road. We don't have more than a heavy dusting at the moment. The flakes we have had so far have been very small. The waiting game is the hardest part.

Tyler Penland
Been a dusting to sunshine to bare ground to dusting and rinse, wash, repeat here so far. Just can't break far enough below freezing to maintain between showers with the downsloping.

This is exactly what we're looking like in Todd right now at 3800 feet, even down to the black car with a solid dusting.
wncsnow
Pretty lackluster so far but there is about 18 hours left of the best forcing.

eyewall
This is from the road up to Beech Mountain. I only wish I could stay for the whole event. I am happy I got to see it for sure. What I get for procrastinating, I would at least have one vehicle to drive.

SnowDawg
Spitting some snow every now and then here. Good sign that maybe we can get a good shower or two tonight if things really get cranking. Never can tell down this way, but sometimes if the flow is really strong we can squeeze out a good dusting.
