40/70 Benchmark Posted September 21, 2022 Author Share Posted September 21, 2022 Got another .04" yesterday, so added onto the .92" Monday and .05" on Sunday, I had just over and inch. (1.01"). It was great to see the wife and kids in person again...almost brings me to tears seeing how palpable the change in the children was in just 2.5 months. Between my tipper on the weather station and the stratus gauge, It can be off a few cents depending on rainfall rates and it seems like the tipper under catches often, So i always rely on the stratus as long as i don't forget to empty it....lol. I agree that sometimes it does seem to run warm. The city and oil/industrial port is just to the W/NW of them so they will torch on those winds. I know it runs warm based on where it is placed, and i am sure that the rain guage isn't terrible accurate. you know what-I don't care. it gives me an idea of what is going on at my location.
