time sensitive but nice roost rings on radar this morning

I see those often in the morning.  Always curious as to what birds were causing them to occur.  I'd love to takt the time some day to figure out the location and watch this occur.

Usually it’s swallows of some kind. Probably purple martins.

Given how dry the next five days look, genuinely grateful for what fell between 3 and 9 this morning. Soaking rain at times. Should save need to water for several days.

.40 so far up my way. Radar looks like it could be a few more hours of light rain, too.

Absolutely beautiful in OC MD this week with sun and mid/upper 70s each day.  A few days ago it looked like a rainy Mon/Tue but that threat dissipated like a Mid-Atlantic snowstorm on the Euro

I thought it was the GFS that always had fantasy snowstorms?  Or was it the CMC?

Anyway, hope you are enjoying it

Not sure about down your way, but out here we have massive swarms of starlings. Usually start about the first of September. There will literally be millions of them right before sundown. I guess they are trying to find a safe place for the night. It’s mesmerizing to watch them. I don’t know if those would show up on a radar because they aren’t very high when they do that.
