IronTy
Just now, KAOS said: Do you have an attic fan? Perhaps that would help. Here is a link explaining some of what I was talking about and this example actually shows the air handler in the attic. https://georgebrazilhvac.com/blog/what-temperature-should-my-central-air-conditioner-be-putting-out Keep in mind the 20 degree Delta T is just rule of thumb. That said, it seems you have a problem. 68 degree supply air is not going to cool the house sufficiently (upstairs). At least that is my experience. Guess I will call for a second opinion. We actually do have an attic fan (along with almost full length ridge vents), I had to replace the motor two weeks ago and I was sweating to death in the attic and lamenting the shitty AC upstairs, which is what prompted me to call the tech in the first place. I don't ever recall this issue so something mustve changed in the past year. Sad thing is half my job is refrigerant thermodynamics (on a city-sized scale) but I've never bothered to do the calculations for the AC unit. Onward... GramaxRefugee
Fairly intense here in Annapolis for about 15 minutes at the heart of it. Gusting and heavy rain with low visibility. Not much thunder though. Will be interesting to get a look at the gauge later. Starting to clear now.

This same scene literally happened at about 12:30 to 1 p.m.-ish today here in SE FfxCo. And looks like it might be getting ready to repeat within the next 30-60 min, although I don't think we'll whiff on this round. Currently 94/75. mattie g
Honestly shocked at the decent downpour we had just before dinner time. Not sure how much we ended with, but had to be pretty close to 0.5”. Ended with a pretty sweet double rainbow:
