LongBeachSurfFreak
.34” on the uws. Just enough to help slow catastrophe. I did notice allot of trees browning and yellowing on the southern state yesterday. Some do it as a defense mechanism and will be fine (assuming we break the drought soon) others are straight up dying. .

bluewave
Temperatures back to near 90° the next few days as one of our warmest summers on record continues. Many of local stations are still in the top 3 warmest with a few weeks to go. So it just goes to show how warm our summers have become since 2010 with numerous top 10s. CIK62
The next 8 days are averaging 80degs.(73/87) or +4.5. Month to date is 79.5[+2.6]. Should be 79.7[+3.2] by the 26th. Reached 80 here yesterday. Today: 82-86, wind w., m. sunny, late clouds, 70 tomorrow AM GFS Hurricane Fantasies are gone. The season is moribund. I like Sept. 20---Oct. 10 as I stated earlier this month. Nothing special there except this is obviously a late season or a non-season. HW with rainy bookends: 67*(70%RH) here at 7am. 72* at 9am. 77* at Noon. 80* at 3pm. 82* at 4pm. 78* at 5pm. Back up to 81* at 8pm.

bluewave
Maybe we can get just enough rain the next few weeks to avoid a drought upgrade to D3. Parts of the area are currently the driest since 2016. The region hasn’t seen a D3 level of drought since 2002.

SACRUS
74/ 56 and 0.08 of rain last night. Warmer today with the usual drier spots / warmer spots perhaps touching 90. Fri (8/19) even a touch warmer with more 90s for many. Saturday (8/20) EC low looks to eveade the area and if clouds also stay away , another shot at 90 for the warmer spots otherwise this next 4 days (Thu - Sun) mid / upper 80s and lots of sunshine. By next week Mon (8/22) - Wed (8/24) front comes through and waves of low pressure , can one bring us some rainfall. We'll see. Otherwise warm to hot at times and humid last 10 days of the month. winterwx21
Models are showing a good amount of rain for monday. Every threat always falls apart so I know to not get hopes up too high, but you'd think one of these threats would have to pan out eventually. I doubt it the way things have been going, but maybe monday will finally give the area more widespead heavy downpours.
