Yeah, the GEM had the late January snowstorm from a week out while the other models were OTS. The GFS seldom verifies when it’s the only amped up global model. We need one of the better models showing an amped up solution for it to work out. The 12z UKMET was east also. We’ll see if the GEM or Euro can come west in later runs. We probably have until the 0z or 12z runs tomorrow for a shift back west if it’s going to happen.

cleetussnow
400 to 500 miles spread, other models vs the gfs. GEFS is still wet but not like the GFS operational. No other ensemble is nearly as wet unless you cherry pick members.

CIK62
Windy and wet on Tues/Wed. ? These are sustained winds from the disorganized system. GFS has 2"-3" rain amounts. Rapid dropoff on an E-W Axis. Many changes to come.

Now it’s back to the closer to the coast track. This is just like tracking a winter storm. Like you mentioned earlier we will probably have to wait a bit longer to see how the models trend. Curious to see what the EPS/ensembles show.

cleetussnow
Euro trended slightly to the GFS. It does not have the loop de loop over new england, but the trough sharpens up in time so the LP does go over cape cod. Still too far south and off shore to do anything but fringe the NY metro for anything more than an inch. Rain looks somewhat likely wednesday afternoon and evening. NE sees some decent rain easr of CT valley and up through NH then o

Wxoutlooksblog
As of now I think we'll be chilly and wet on Wed but that heavy rainfall amounts most likely will be confined to eastern LI and New England. This could change. WX/PT
Wxoutlooksblog
More hot weather maybe late this month into next month? GEFS supports it. GEPS and EPS do not at the moment but did a day ago. They are flipping back and forth. We'll see. WX/PT 1 1
