That’s really bad considering the circumstances. It does not seem to be a new issue so the inspector has some explaining to do why he did not catch prior water damage. Shame on the previous owner not disclosing this as well.

Sucks man but I’d reach out to your realtor to start.

The damn gutter had a clog. Water was flowing over the gutter and into the window. No major damage thankfully.

I think about 9" officially as of an hour ago but the highest totals are around 15".   That should help there extreme drought but if the soil is rock hard how much gets down to the roots of trees and plants after an endless amount of 90 to 100 days?   One thing for sure, the drought begets drought can bust pretty quickly.  In our neck of the woods some of the fish in Cape Cod bay are getting pretty soaking wet right now.

My favorite case i point:  Sept 21. 1966 for the broad NY metro area.  Central Park reported 5.54" that day, and though it took several more months of AN rain to confirm it, the 1960s drought in the Northeast was broken that day.

Ensembles were as good as any globals. GFS gave widespread soakings as did Euro and HREF. That HREF is no better than a roll of Charmin

This was about as wide spread as you could have. The areas missed today have a chance tomorrow. I thought it went well. Congrats on a decent drink.

.40 on the day as it ended a few minutes ago. More in all towns east and west . Enough to wet the dust down and that’s it ..seeing all those big totals in S Wey, Taunton, the Cape  and even SE CT.. we sure got relatively Steined. Beggars can’t be choosers I suppose
