Reached 89 here yesterday at 1pm. Today: 96-101, wind w. to sw. and breezy, m. sunny. Next week's T's kept down mostly by clouds---plus any rain that happens---so 87-92 will do it? 80*(72%RH) here at 7am. 83* at 8am. 84*(52%RH) at 9am. 86*(42%RH) at 10am. 87* at 11am. back to 86*(48%RH) at Noon. Made it! 90* at 2pm. (I walked 1500 feet north, instead of south (to go to the shopping center) and the environment was radically different from the base of my building. 1500 feet south puts me in the Atlantic and 80* pis water....lol! 91* at 2:15pm but back down to 87* at 3pm. White Plains is making a run on 10 consecutive lows over 70°. The last time it did that was 2013. A similar benchmark at LGA would be 10 consecutive days with a low over 75°. On the way to upper 90s / low 100s the next 2 to 3 days, perhaps some records. 850 temps surge to >22C for parts of the area over the next 48- 60 hours. Pop up storms should be very isolated this weekend before more widespread storms come later Mon (7/25) and into Tue (7/26). Monday remains hot but only clouds and an early arrival storms would spoil more strong heat 95+. Tue (7/26) depending on when we clear out from storms and rain could break the hetwave for most folks. The Western Atlantic Ridge is building west by Wed (7/27) and a very warm / very humid with what seems to be a much more stormy / Florida type pattern to end the month. Again , need to watch where the boundary sets up between the building Bermuda high and periphery of ridge next week. That area could get boat loads of rain.
