We are looking at a few thousand in repairs, but the previous owners didn’t disclose a known issue so we might be getting a new system paid for by them. Staying on topic, high of 97 here today. OrdIowPitMsp
Does the HRRR have a cold bias in summertime? The 23z run is showing temps in the upper 80s right now, while we sit at 97.

A lot of models have that problem though.

Torchageddon
TWN is forecasting the hottest temp IMBY in years of 34C/93F with a humidex of 42/108! On Wednesday when they set my high to 31C I actually got to 35C; I'm hoping I get to the 100F mark somehow later tomorrow. After that amazing low on Sat morning of 5C/41F I'm looking forward to this. Hoosier
85 at MDW and 83 at ORD. Both places went up 11 degrees after 11 am yesterday. May not be an exact repeat today but should be a decent general guide. This drier type of airmass allows a bit more warming than usual after late morning. Hoosier
An interesting development is that so far, MDW is not out ahead of the pack from the other Chi area obs. Kinda hard to figure that one.
beavis1729
If it holds through the rest of the day (1 am CDT), this morning's low of 77 in Fargo would be their 2nd warmest min on record in June, and 4th warmest all-time. Records go back to 1881. The only warmer mins are: 7/10/1936: high 110, low 82 7/11/1936: high 106, low 80 6/28/1996: high 93, low

Hoosier
Mentioned it up the thread, but I think we could have a late-ish high again today with this setup and being near the solstice. Yesterday highs held off until around 5 pm central at ORD/MDW and temps stayed at those highs for like 45-60 mins.
Hoosier
Some clouds are spilling southwestward over Lake Michigan. Don't think this will be a significant factor for highs in northeast IL but something to watch.
