MDT got their daily 90 it appears.  Fairly dry here with a DP back into the upper 60's and 85 degrees.   I see the radar out west but have to say it was a disappointing day rain wise.

First time this year that MDT got to 90 and I did not.

And yes, the forecasts for today did not verify well at all.

Was curious how many times the temp has gotten over 90 degrees this year since April and so far I'm at 26 days at 90 or above

It seems hotter this year despite the jo record high heat imo because the overnight lows are so high. I don’t have data but I prob have been in the 60s only aha duo of times since June. 72-75 is the norm now so it never cools down.

It has only stayed above 70 two times here.  It is HIA in concrete LSV.

Even Dulles airport has only stayed 70 or above 16 times since June 1.  And 6 of those were right on 70.   ~50 times 69 or below.

Wonder if the rain chances in the Susquehanna Valley will be greater today then the last few days?

Looking at satellite trends, I think we see much more coverage this way compared to yesterday.

also Sterling is running 60 % pops along their Mason Dixon counties where as State College is only carrying 30 % pops for their first tier

This year so far I've had 21 lows above 70, including 2 at 80.

It is really something when you have 5 more nights than an airport that is 2 hours to your south and only 279 feet.

It really is - though, it's not unusual for my temp to be at or above Dulles year round except for things like when it's snowing here and not there, etc.

I'm not familiar with that area so I'm not sure how to speculate on the why's. LOL

It is pretty much like Harrisburg.  Low elevation, lots of cars and buildings.
