Rob Guarino's 2010-2011 Winter Forecast

Recommended Posts

Rob Guarino just posted his winter outlook. Last winter, he did a great job targeting the Mid-Atlantic for snow. He even predicted that many areas in the Mid-Atlantic would see more snow than areas further to the north (I remember some people ridiculing him for this idea). This year looks to be a more normal snow distribution. The full forecast is here:

Rob's outlook can be found at: http://www.liveweath...-NYC,-BALTIMORE)

Among other things, to answer the all-important question concerning Philly, his outlook calls for 17"-23" snowfall for Philly.

He thinks December will be a teaser month and January will be a torch month ("good for outdoor activities lol)-- he thinks the big snow month will be February, which is usually the case here (but most people are going for early cold and snow.)

This other post bears his thoughts out-- he thinks Thanksgiving weekend and the beginning of December may be mild.
