North Balti Zen
Looks like clear skies and a new moon. Got a shot at this maybe.

nw baltimore wx
Cool. May have to suck it up and drive west for darker skies.
North Balti Zen
Supposed to be a 1/2 hour window. 12:45 am for us. Just checked out the sky from our deck up this way and if we are clear have a shot at seeing this. Much less light wash up here.
clskinsfan
We saw a few random shooting stars last night on our deck while having a get together with some neighbors.
North Balti Zen
I thought I saw one last night too. Maybe I didn’t hallucinate it.

Could have been a sporadic (not attached with any distinct shower) but apparently there was a bona fide Tau Herculid seen on a meteor camera a day or two ago. Fingers crossed this turns out to be something! Odds aren't high, though!
Stormfly
This could be very nice if it's a solid hit. Like blizzard at night! Anyhow, I was messing around with my Google Pixel 6 Pro on a tripod and caught some!
Kmlwx
I'm really, really, really hoping this is something special. I remember seeing the 1997 Leonids with my dad.
North Balti Zen
I am definitely gonna stay up and see if we get lucky. clear skies plus new moon lining up with a potential unusual meteor event is already unusual. Yaneverknow...

dailylurker
Another perk of living here in Carroll County is that it's dark and clear. I've seen a few already.
Kay
Saw one! ETA: I saw three total. Must sleep.
North Balti Zen
Saw a handful, maybe five or six or so. Not bright nor long lived. Still, pretty cool. Not historic like some were hoping tho.

EastCoast NPZ
Sat out from 1030 until almost 1 AM. Counted 12 in total, including 1 orange fireball so bright I could see it's smoky tail and watched it break up. It may have been the best meteor I've ever seen.
MN Transplant
Went out for 15 minutes at 1am and didn’t see any. I don’t think it was the light pollution, but my field of view was somewhat restricted by trees.
toolsheds
Went out with My daughter at 12:10 for about 45 minutes. I think we saw about 20. We did see fireflies as well.
Rhino16
No accumulation. I even slanted the stick and there’s none. Not even a trace. 1
Stormfly
Did see a few even one with burning trails. Rather typical night in the woods. Event was a nothinburger. Weather, astronomy, economy, what else is there to fail?
poolz1
Went out last night around 11 and counted roughly 15 in about 20 minutes. All but 2-3 were quickly fading, short streaks. There was one nice long streak that was pretty impressive. I thought this event had high potential after that. Went back out at 12:15 and saw one in about 20 minutes. Off to bed after that letdown.
