Only 1.07 inches of precip for me in past 17 days..drying patches showing up. Last weeks .46 really did little to stop this process

Doesn’t look like this will make a dent either.

Unless we get an organized tropical system, convection is usually hit or miss this time of year.

First guess for July 4th weekend is for frontloaded warmth. EPS is warmest on Friday. Then a cold front with storms on Saturday. Cooler and hopefully drier for Sunday into Monday as Canadian high pressure builds into Northern New England.

Clouds / showers  SE/ESE flow the next 36 hours, keeping it cool as the furnace remains west of the area.  Warmer overall  days 3 - 10 as Flow comes back around Fri (6/24)-Sun (6/26) where the heat bleeds in for 60 or so hours Sat and Sun with 90s for the hotspots perhaps others.   By Mon (6/27) cold front moves through and back more towards or a bit below normal Tue (6/28) and Wed (6/29) before warmer / some heat returns to close June and open July.  Way out there but euro looks hot / perhaps very hot brief surge 6/30 - 7/2 or 3.  We'll see how it evolves or if the seasonal tendency keeps wekness along the northeast or the pattern bucks.

July 4 forecast time.

sun angle is decreasing it won't be to long before it is very noticeable...

You are joking right? Yesterday was the longest day length of the year! It won't be truly noticeable until August. July 8th is the first date we start losing more than one minute of daylight a day. Once we get into the second week of August and sunset is before 8 is when people start to truly notice it.
