2 days not 3... its funny how the NAM and GFS both show a major blizzard for our area 48-60 hours away and no one is too excited.. too bad this is 18z but im definitely very excited to see the 00z suite and if they still show this then we will all be pumped..

Well folks out by the Cape should definitely be more excited than anyone else but the reason no one is really all too excited is just b/c of the fact the past few days the Global models have not been on board and the Euro backed away from a solution which the 18z GFS gave us today, plus you have the fact that the Euro ensembles have been holding pretty steady...it's really hard to go against that.

I want to see the 0z Euro show this before I throw my weenie in the air.

lol, yeah It shows 20"+ for boston area.

NAM and GFS both had a blizz at about 48 hrs in Feb of 2009; EURO had an inverted trough of garbage...guess what took place.

If this is right, I would expect the gradient to get tighter and tighter as we get closer in......looks like the key area would be around 495......shaved outside, euphoria inside.

What did happen, I don't remember. Was this the storm that had the really tight gradient?

You're on buddy. Heading out. . ...a Jew with a Catholic relative is going to a Christmas Eve dinner....will use their computer at some point.

:lmao:

Possibly the best post of a HoF thread/week. If this is a classic but drawn out Euro nailing it, losing it, and hitting it back tonight, wow...

:weenie:

NOGAPs way west. I think I'm calling the bluff. I don't think the NCEP models are super out to lunch.

this is a pretty big signal, i'd think - probably at least gives a credence to the gfs/nam solutions, even if they are a little too far west
